Trading Places

If we were to get a chance to talk over coffee, inevitably the conversation would turn to music. It is deeply embedded in my story and I love talking about it.

I had the opportunity to record a solo guitar album as a grad student. I'm not playing much these days, but it was an amazing experience that I love sharing.

Here are a few tracks from the project. Enjoy!

(To the right is the album cover. I took the photo on a camera I borrowed from the library and set on a timer. Had no idea what I was doing... turned out alright!)

Know Me

Hello! I'm a UX designer with a unique background that has shaped my approach to user experience and interface design.

My journey began in the world of music, where I was a practicing musician and music educator. It was there that I developed key skills such as communication, collaboration, creative problem-solving, and adaptability based on feedback. These skills have proven invaluable in my switch to UX design.

Currently, I'm the IT Team Leader for a non-profit humanitarian organization. This role has allowed me to blend project management with a user-centered approach, ensuring that our solutions are both innovative and practical.

On a personal note, I'm a husband and father to four amazing kids, plus one furry dog named Annie. My family life has taught me reliability, patience, and the importance of being a good listener and teacher—qualities that I bring to every project I work on.

I'm passionate about creating intuitive, effective, and enjoyable user experiences, and I believe that my diverse experiences enable me to add unique value to any team. Let's create something great together!
